Challenged

We've started a new challenge: Media Fast and Read through 12 chapters of Psalms per day; finishing it by the Re-Encounter. Goal: breakthrough in prophetic worship.

I don't know what I thought coming into this internship. But it's worth it.

Psalm 25:4-14
4 Make me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths.
5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.
6 Remember, O LORD, Your compassion and Your lovingkindnesses, For they have been from of old.
7 Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; According to Your lovingkindness remember me, For Your goodness' sake, O LORD.
8 Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way.

Love.... Not as easy as I thought.

1 Corinthians 13

The Excellence of Love

¹If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

²If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

³And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

⁴Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,

⁵does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,

⁶does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;

When you have roomates and you say "I ain't your maid!" Are you "enduring all things?"
When they leave their clothes on the floor for the 10th time and you yell at them, you are taking into account a wrong suffered. When you will do things (share food, invite them places, etc) for all your roommates except one, you are denying that one Christian brotherly love.

It's not as easy to love a Christian brother/sister as it sounds.

About One Month In...

Almost as month into Training Center.
All of the girls have jobs now, Praise God!!! Please continue to pray for the guys who are still looking.
I am learning to get along with the other girls, and about scheduling and cooking, etc.
I made beans and cornbread today! Yummmmm.
Apostle Jim Clark taught us this week on Family. I learned a lot of things I did not know. It was really good. :-)

Excerpt from today's class: Truth idolatry = when I believe reading more books and having more knowledge makes me more righteous than simpler Christians.
Isaiah 14:6 Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Repent and turn away from your idols and turn your faces away from all your abominations."

The 3rd day of classes was great. Field trip tonight after prayer. :-) Praise God.

First night in our house. Slept good. Getting ready for church and orientation afterwards. Praise God! I woke up this morning! :-) I almost can't believe I'm actually here, but I am!

Prayer, Packing, and more Prayer...

Pastor Rose spoke on Psalm 116:1-7 last night. It was awesome.
"I love the LORD, for he heard my voice;
he heard my cry for mercy.
Because he turned his ear to me,
I will call on him as long as I live.
The cords of death entangled me,
the anguish of the grave came upon me;
I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.
Then I called on the name of the LORD :
"O LORD, save me! "
The LORD is gracious and righteous;
our God is full of compassion.
The LORD protects the simplehearted;
when I was in great need, he saved me.
Be at rest once more, O my soul,
for the LORD has been good to you." (NLT)

Tonight was focused on recommitting ourselves to the fasting and prayer. To seek God's face, instead of the distractions.

Nine days and counting!!!
Wow.

Yesterday we started prayer & fasting for 21 days as a church. Corporate prayer last night was awesome. I was challenged to memorize more of the Word, and to shift my focus from worrying about moving, to trusting God and doing His work.

John 3:16-17 NASB "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him."

2 Corinthians 5:17 NASB "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."

Farewell

12 days, 14 hours until the move. Yay! Prayer and fasting starts on Wednesday. Corporate prayer will be the best part of my day for 21 days. :-)

Yesterday was the last Sunday at home for our Peruvian missionaries. As Pastor says, there are those that went, but there are those that are sent. They will be building a church with an orphanage over the next two years. We will be keeping Jose, Kathryn, Logan, Timothy, and Victor in our prayers as they travel to Peru to build the Kingdom of God. You can learn more about them here: http://joseandkat.blogspot.com/

21 days until Moving Day! I'm definitely feeling challenged. In a good way.

Twenty-eight days until moving day!!! Looked at vehicles today after work.

Romans 8:35-39 (NASB)
"Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written, "FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG; WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED." But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

It's Official!

I have been officially accepted! 33 Days until it begins!!!!! Wow. Starting to pack today! I will be accepting donations, a well as prayers.

Joy

"Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name;

Oh the Joy of seeking His face! The Joy of giving Him Glory! His Works, His Glory! His Faithfulness!

Change...

Everything's changing... but, as I heard today;

"Healthy things grow.
Growing things change.
Change challenges us.
Challenge forces us to trust God.
Trust leads to obedience.
Obedience makes us healthy.
Healthy things grow."

I've applied for Training Center and plan to blog about it here, if/when I'm accepted. Right now, I'm really excited but nervous as well. What am I getting myself into? It will be intense, and far out of my comfort zone, but definitely worth it. Hopefully I will know in a few days if I am accepted or not. All I can do in the meantime is pray and work and get organized. It starts in less than 6 weeks!!!
