The End.... Of The Beginning....

Wow. These last ten months went by crazy fast.

Now we are graduated, commissioned, and moving on to change this world.

My fellow students are now friends, and our destinations are more definite.

Thanks to everyone who made PTC possible, and those who went through it with me.

It was an amazing ride.

I hope next years' students have at least as much fun and learning as we did.

June!!! Yes! No!

It's already June!!!!
I'm so excited to graduate!
I don't want this internship to end!

I'm going to miss the other girls in my house. <3 It won't be the same without them.
But we are finishing. We are moving on to the next part of our lives.
Healthy things grow.... Growing things change.... sniff.

As for me, I am headed off to college again for my accounting degree. :)
Please pray with me for provision for a car. The bicycle can only take me so far, but it is a blessing.

We finished up Why Revival Tarries today with Pastor G.F. I believe that book can be summed up in two quotes: "The tragedy of this late hour is that we have too many dead men in the pulpits giving out too many dead sermons to too many dead people." and " This is the highest praise that earth or hell affords - to be classified by the enemy as one with Christ."

We need prayer. All our actions, as people and as leaders, must be bathed in prayer. If we speak, it must be bathed in prayer lest it be dry, bereft of God's spirit. We cannot afford to not have God's faith in us, and His power shown through us.

Will You Stay The Course?!

Today we had a guest speaker in our classes, Pastor Bernie from Scotland. He will be speaking again to the men tonight at Man church at 7pm. He spoke with our class on "Will we stay the course?"
It is a question essential to our walk with God, a question many people don't ask, and a question which will be answered by our actions.
So what will I do? Will I not only graduate in June, but also graduate to eternal life? Many people in the Bible, and in history, started well but finished horribly. Will that be me? Or can I finish well?
Will I let anything cause me to stumble? Will I let the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, or the pride of life get me off track, away from God?
I have decided that no matter how many "best friends" I have to leave behind; no matter how "strict/close-minded" they think I am; no matter how much it hurts to leave them; I will not compromise the call God has placed on me.

Challenged

We've started a new challenge: Media Fast and Read through 12 chapters of Psalms per day; finishing it by the Re-Encounter. Goal: breakthrough in prophetic worship.

I don't know what I thought coming into this internship. But it's worth it.

Psalm 25:4-14
4 Make me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths.
5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.
6 Remember, O LORD, Your compassion and Your lovingkindnesses, For they have been from of old.
7 Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; According to Your lovingkindness remember me, For Your goodness' sake, O LORD.
8 Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way.
9 He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way.
10 All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness and truth To those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.
11 For Your name's sake, O LORD, Pardon my iniquity, for it is great.
12 Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.

14 The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant.

Love.... Not as easy as I thought.

1 Corinthians 13

The Excellence of Love

¹If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

²If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

³And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

⁴Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,

⁵does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,

⁶does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;

⁷bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

⁸Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.

⁹For we know in part and we prophesy in part;

¹⁰but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.

¹¹When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.

¹²For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.

¹³But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

When you have roomates and you say "I ain't your maid!" Are you "enduring all things?"
When they leave their clothes on the floor for the 10th time and you yell at them, you are taking into account a wrong suffered. When you will do things (share food, invite them places, etc) for all your roommates except one, you are denying that one Christian brotherly love.

It's not as easy to love a Christian brother/sister as it sounds.
